We work exclusively with the finest quality silk from China, the country most renowned for this noble material. The quality of silk depends on its thickness, softness and suppleness. We work with a silk fabric up to an exceptional thickness of 23 momme. Very rarely used due to the high cost of this sumptuous material.

Our silk is grade 5A, one of the best quality on the market.

Silk is made from the Bombyx Mori silkworm, and the cocoon it weaves which can create threads of up to 1.3km! The yarn is then woven to create fabrics by interweaving threads in warp (across the length of the fabric) and weft (across the width of the fabric).

It is at this stage that we can obtain different results: crepe, satin, muslin, taffeta, velvet. Because a silk thread is actually a combination of several fine threads, combined and then twisted together. The more twisted the yarn, the more robust and supple the fabric will be, but the less shiny and satiny it will have.

We work silk in different ways with the aim of bringing modernity to this material.

For example, we play with weaving techniques to give different looks: crepe, satin, chiffon. Our crepe has just enough matte to maintain a soft touch and keep its suppleness. Our satin has a shiny finish that makes colors pop and feels smooth. Our chiffon is very light and offers a subtle transparency.

We also use very strong colors and patterns using different techniques: jacquard or printed.
