CASHMERE CARE GUIDE
6 KEY RULES TO MAKE YOUR CASHMERE LAST LONGER
WASH YOUR CASHMERE REGULARLY
Cashmere loves water! The fiber needs hydration. Regular washing of your cashmere, after having been worn 2 or 3 times, is important to maintain its softness and preserve the fiber longer. This helps in particular to avoid the appearance of fluff balls on new products, which is the release of excess material following production.

KEEP IT FROM HEAT
Always wash your cashmere sweater at low temperature. Hot water could cause shrinkage or color bleeding. You should therefore not exceed 20°C. Do not put your sweater in the dryer either. Instead, dry your cashmere flat on a towel.

AVOID FRICTION
Cashmere is a natural fiber, it changes according to daily friction. Avoid friction as much as possible. When washing your cashmere sweater, do not rub the material but rather apply pressure and circular movements. If you choose machine wash, slip your piece into a mesh laundry bag.

LET THE FIBER REST
Just like you, cashmere fiber needs a rest. Avoid straining your piece by wearing it for several consecutive days. By spacing out its use, you will preserve its flexibility and limit the development of premature fluff.

DON'T PUT YOUR SWEATER ON A HANGER
To store your cashmere sweater or to dry it, it is always recommended to lay it flat so that it does not deform.

AVOID PILLING ON YOUR CASHMERE
Even good quality cashmere can shed some pilling, also called lint, especially when new. These are due to a separation of the fiber which therefore creates a surplus of material. We carefully select grade A fibers (the best quality on the market) which delay the appearance of this pilling. So wash your sweater regularly following our advice, and use a razor to maintain your sweater in case of appearance of pilling. Discover our anti-pilling razors!
